Rome (GA) Alumnae was chartered in 1966, thus we enjoyed our 45th Anniversary on January 15, 2011! Committed to transforming communities, we serve a seven county area: Bartow, Chattooga, Floyd,Gordon, Polk, and Whitfield Counties of Georgia, and Cherokee County, Alabama.
Currently, we have 25 active members who serve the community through our National Five Point Programmatic Thrust:
- Economic Development,
- Educational Development,
- International Awareness and Involvement,
- Physical and Mental Health, and
- Political Awareness and Involvement
Our annual May Week program honors the scholastic achievements of high school seniors from our service area. Moreover, our signature fundraiser is A Classy White Linen Dance held in May each year. For more information about our programs, please click the “Service in Action” tab above.
We look forward to partnering with the community in order to honor and extend the legacy of our beloved 22 Founders and our 12 Charter Members. It is on their shoulders that I stand! I am bubbling over with excitement and enthusiasm as we move into this next chapter of our great sisterhood.
We are "A Sisterhood Called To Serve. Transforming Lives and Impacting Communities!
With Much Delta Love,
