President's Message
About Our Sorority
Greetings Sorors, Family, and Friends,
This year, we commemorate a truly extraordinary milestone: the 60th Anniversary of the Rome Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated.
On January 15, 1966, ten visionary Deltas and two initiates united in purpose and sisterhood to charter a chapter committed to uplifting the communities of Northwest Georgia. Their courage,
clarity of mission, and unwavering dedication established a legacy that continues to shine brilliantly six decades later.
As the current President, it is both an honor and a blessing to celebrate this Diamond Jubilee with you. For sixty years, the Rome Alumnae Chapter has remained firmly grounded in the values of our beloved sisterhood — serving through scholarship, mentoring youth, empowering families, and advocating for social action across Floyd, Bartow, Polk, Chattooga, Gordon, and Whitfield counties.
We owe a profound debt of gratitude to our charter members, whose faith and foresight laid the foundation we now proudly stand upon. Their spirit lives in every program we deliver, every
partnership we build, every life we touch, and every sister we uplift.
Our chapter theme,
★ RAC A.L.I.G.N.E.D. — Strategically… Spiritually… Sisterly ★
continues to guide and strengthen us.
A: Adaptable
L: Legacy
I: Innovative
G: God-centered

Adapting to the needs of our service communities through our legacy of dedicated, innovative, God-centered leadership and exemplary implementation of noteworthy programming.
Sincerely,
Tatanya Aker Manson
Rome Alumnae President
